Learn About Medications and How to Handle Them Safely

TOMS RIVER – The Ocean County Library will host “Your Medications: An Overview” at four of its branches.

This presentation will demonstrate reading a medication label and how to interpret its meaning. It will discuss generic medications, formularies, and tiers that are often a part of most prescription plans.

Storage and disposal of medication will be reviewed along with other safety tips.

These sessions will be followed by optional screenings of blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose by a registered nurse, as well as general health and wellness information.
