The Life and Times of Annie Oakley to be Explored at Ocean County Library

LAVALLETTE – The Upper Shores Branch of the Ocean County Library, 112 Jersey City Ave. Lavallette, will host the program “Annie Oakley: Aim for a High Mark” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 30.

Join Kim Hanley as she portrays the legendary Annie Oakley. The diminutive sharpshooter competed in a sport and world dominated by men.  Her hope was that all women would reach the “bulls-eye of success.”

This program is funded by the Public Scholars Project of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
