Book Discussion in April

JACKSON – The Jackson Branch of the Ocean County Library will host two book discussions in April.

Participants will discuss “Sound of Gravel” by Ruth Wariner at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 3. “Sound of Gravel” is a Wariner’s memoir as the 39th of 42 siblings who grew up in a polygamist family on a farm in rural Mexico. The memoir documents the violence of the community and her family’s loyalty in the face of it.

Participants will discuss “Lab Girl” by Hope Jahren at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 10. “Lab Girl” is the memoir of geochemist, geobiologist, and professor Hope Jahren.
